The Wicklow Miners emblem represents a combination of the historic local mining industry, and strong musical roots. The branch was formed by a group of musicians passionate about Irish traditional music and culture and who realised the importance and positive impact the formation of a branch accommodating catchments around the Avoca area would provide. The Branch are proud to report approximately 70 CCÉ members and students are represented and affiliated with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann organisation.
